Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These terms and conditions explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you when you book an appointment or use our website. Please read them before booking.

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions apply when you book an appointment with Serenity Hair & Beauty ( “we”, “us”, “our”), use our website, or visit our salon at 2 Kyle Street, Ayr, KA7 1RZ. By booking with us you agree to these terms.

2. Booking an appointment

  • You can book with us online through our booking page, by phone, or in the salon.
  • When you book online you will receive a confirmation by text, and a reminder before your appointment.
  • Please make sure the contact details you give us are correct so you receive your confirmation and reminders.

3. Deposits

  • Some appointments require a deposit at the time of booking, which is taken securely through our payment provider.
  • Your deposit is put towards the total cost of your appointment, so you pay the balance on the day.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, or if you do not attend (see our cancellation policy below).

4. Cancellations and no-shows

  • If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice.
  • If you cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice, any deposit can be moved to a new appointment.
  • If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, or do not attend, your deposit will not be refunded.
  • We understand that things come up, so if you have an emergency please get in touch and we will do our best to help.

5. Late arrivals

If you arrive late for your appointment we will do our best to carry out your full service, but we may need to shorten or rearrange it so that we do not affect other clients booked in after you.

6. Prices and payment

  • Our prices are displayed in the salon and shared when you book. We may update our prices from time to time.
  • Payment for your appointment is due on the day, less any deposit already paid.
  • We accept the payment methods shown in the salon.

7. Our services

  • We take great care with every treatment. For certain services, such as colour or hair extensions, we may recommend a consultation or a patch test beforehand.
  • It is important that you tell us about any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that could affect your treatment. We cannot be held responsible for reactions where relevant information was not shared with us.
  • Results can vary from person to person depending on your hair, skin and how you care for them afterwards.

8. Age and children

Some treatments may have a minimum age or require a parent or guardian’s consent. Please ask us if you are unsure. For safety, children who are not being treated should be supervised at all times while in the salon.

9. Your feedback

We love hearing how we did. After your visit we may send you a message inviting you to leave a review or to give us private feedback. If anything was not right, we would always rather you told us directly so we can put it right.

10. Our website

  • Our website is provided for general information and to let you book appointments. We try to keep it accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee it is always error-free.
  • Bookings made through our website are handled by our booking system provider on our behalf.
  • The content and branding on our website belong to us and may not be copied or used without our permission.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our responsibility to you is limited to the cost of the service provided.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time you book is the one that applies.
